Paradox ZC1 opening alarm detector

The Paradox ZC1 opening detector is used to protect doors and windows.

Typically, a magnet (included) is installed on a door or window and the magnetic switch is installed on the door frame or window sill (see Figure 1).

When the magnet moves away from the reed switch (included), a zone open signal is sent to the control panel through the combus.

When the magnet returns close to the reed switch, a zone restore signal is sent.

The distance between the magnet and the reed switch is determined by the magnet specifications.

Once connected to the network, the ZC1 must be assigned to a zone on the control panel as described in the Zone Programming section (see

refer to the appropriate control panel Reference and Installation Manual).

• Bus fault indication: Green and red LED flash alternately.
